Green Grape Pie

When my son was about 5 years old, he asked for a green grape pie. I had never heard of such a thing, but I decided on a simple recipe and got to work. I told my dad about the strange request as the pie was baking, and he started laughing. Apparently, it had been his grandfather's (my son's great-great-grandfather) favorite dessert! After we tried the finished pie, my dad said it tasted just like the one his grandmother had made when he was a kid!

Sweetened with maple syrup and surrounded by a flaky crust, this recipe is a winner!
