Easy Homemade Shepherd's Pie

Things are finally starting to cool off here (it's only in the 80's now!), so we are enjoying these cozy meals more often. Canning Sweet Potatoes

Between now and the Thanksgiving holiday (at least in the USA), you should be able to snag sweet potatoes at a great discount! Grab them in bulk and can them for later. Or, if you're like us, and you grow your own sweet potatoes, but don't have a root cellar, then canning is a great alternative!

This recipe is canned in a very light syrup, though you can also process sweet potatoes in water. Just note that they will lose a lot of flavor if a bit of sweetness isn't added to the water!

Making your own graham crackers is such a fun project for the fall! We use these for fireside s'mores, as the base for cheesecakes, or just to munch on with some apples and cream cheese! No matter how you like to eat them, having a big batch on hand is a great idea! These can be made with all-purpose einkorn flour or modern wheat.

NOTE: These cracker cutters will be back in stock for the Holidays!
